Supplement to the Musnad of ‘A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her)
Hadith Number: 25227
قال: قال: وكان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول:" تعوذوا بالله من الشيطان الرجيم، من همزه ونفخه ونفثه". قالوا: يا رسول الله، وما همزه ونفخه ونفثه؟ قال: " اما همزه، فهذه الموتة التي تاخذ بني آدم، واما نفخه فالكبر، واما نفثه فالشعر" .
He said: He said: And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to say: "Seek refuge in Allah from the accursed devil, from his madness, his arrogance, and his poetry." They said: O Messenger of Allah, what is his madness, his arrogance, and his poetry? He said: "As for his madness, it is the seizure (epilepsy) that befalls the children of Adam; as for his arrogance, it is pride; and as for his poetry, it is poetry."
حكم دارالسلام: حسن لغيره، وهذا إسناد كسابقه
