مسند عبد اللہ بن العباس بن عبد المطلب رضي اللہ عنهما
Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith Number: 2705
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا اسود بن عامر ، وخلف بن الوليد , قالا: حدثنا إسرائيل ، عن سماك ، عن عكرمة ، عن ابن عباس ، قال: مر النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم برهط من الانصار، وقد نصبوا حمامة يرمونها، فقال:" لا تتخذوا شيئا فيه الروح غرضا".
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by some people of the Ansar who had caught a pigeon and were aiming at it to practice their marksmanship. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not tie any living creature and use it as a target."
حكم دارالسلام: حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد ضعيف، رواية سماك عن عكرمة مضطربة
