حديث جويرية بنت الحارث رضي الله عنها
Hadith of Juwayriyyah bint al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with her)
Hadith Number: 27422
حدثنا محمد , وحجاج , قالا: حدثنا شعبة , عن قتادة , عن ابي ايوب , عن جويرية بنت الحارث , قالت: إن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم دخل عليها في يوم جمعة وهي صائمة , فقال لها:" اصمت امس؟" , قالت: لا , قال:" افتريدين ان تصومي غدا؟" , قالت: لا، قال صلى الله عليه وسلم:" فافطري إذا" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Juwayriya (may Allah be pleased with her) that once on a Friday, "while she was fasting," the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to her. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked her: "Did you fast yesterday?" She replied: No. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Will you fast tomorrow?" She replied: No. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then break your fast."
