باب ما جاء فى ليلة القدر
Chapter on What is Reported Regarding Laylat al-Qadr (Night of Decree)
Hadith Number: 642
عن مالك، انه سمع من يثق به من اهل العلم يقول: إن رسول اللٰه صلى الله عليه وسلم: اري اعمار الناس قبله. او ما شاء اللٰه من ذلك. فكانه تقاصر اعمار امته ان لا يبلغوا من العمل، مثل الذي بلغ غيرهم في طول العمر، فاعطاه اللٰه ليلة القدر، خير من الف شهر.
It is narrated from Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, that he heard from a reliable person, who said: The ages of the previous people were shown to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, as much as Allah willed. So the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, considered the ages of his Ummah to be short and thought that these people would not be able to perform deeds equal to theirs. Therefore, Allah Almighty granted the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, the Night of Qadr, which is better than a thousand months.
تخریج الحدیث: «مرفوع ضعيف، وأخرجه البيهقي فى «شعب الايمان» برقم: 3667
شیخ سلیم ہلالی نے کہا کہ اس کی سند ضعیف ہے اور شیخ احمد سلیمان نے بھی اسے ضعیف کہا ہے۔، شركة الحروف نمبر: 652، فواد عبدالباقي نمبر: 19 - كِتَابُ الِاعْتِكَافِ-ح: 15»
