It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) performed prayer on bedding (mat, rug, carpet, and quilt). In his narration, Janab Nasr bin Ali said that Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) also performed prayer on bedding. And he said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) performed prayer on bedding. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I have some reservations in my heart regarding the narrator Zam’ah.
