(581) باب فضل بناء المساجد إذا كان الباني يبني المسجد لله لا رياء ولا سمعة
The chapter on the virtue of building mosques for Allah, not for show or reputation
Hadith Number: 1291
نا محمد بن بشار ، حدثنا ابو بكر يعني الحنفي ، حدثنا عبد الحميد يعني ابن جعفر ، عن ابيه ، عن محمود بن لبيد ، عن عثمان بن عفان ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " من بنى لله مسجدا بنى الله له بيتا في الجنة"
Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah's pleasure, Allah will build a house for him in Paradise."
