(82) باب إعطاء اليتامى من الصدقة إذا كانوا فقراء- إن ثبت الخبر، فإن فى النفس من أشعث بن سوار - وإن لم يثبت هذا الخبر
82| Chapter on giving zakat to orphans if they are poor, if the report is authentic

Hadith Number: 2362
حدثنا حدثنا علي بن سعيد بن مسروق الكندي، حدثنا حفص يعني ابن غياث، عن اشعث، عن عون بن ابي جحيفة، عن ابيه ، قال: " قدم علينا مصدق النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فاخذ الصدقة من اغنيائنا، فجعلها في فقرائنا، وكنت غلاما يتيما فاعطاني منه قلوصا"
Sayyiduna Abu Juhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a zakat collector of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to us, so he collected zakat from our wealthy people and distributed it among our poor, and I was an orphan boy, so he also gave me a young she-camel from that wealth.
