جماع أبواب ذكر أفعال اختلف الناس فى إباحته للمحرم، نصت سنة النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم أو دلت على إباحتها

(145) باب ذكر الدليل على أن النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم إنما رخص بالأمر بقطع الخفين للرجال دون النساء
Chapter: Evidence that the Prophet only ordered men, not women, to cut the socks
Hadith Number: Q2686
، إذ قد اباح للنساء الخفين وإن وجدن نعالا، فرخص للنساء في لبس الخفاف دون الرجال
Because women are permitted to wear socks even in the presence of shoes. In this way, you have granted women permission to wear all types of socks, unlike men.
Hadith Number: 2686
حدثنا الفضل بن يعقوب الجزري بخبر غريب، حدثنا عبد الاعلى ، قال: قال محمد يعني ابن إسحاق ، حدثني الزهري ، عن سالم ، ان ابن عمر ، قد كان صنع ذلك يعني قطع الخفين للنساء حتى حدثته صفية بنت ابي عبيد ، عن عائشة :" ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قد رخص للنساء في الخفين"
It is narrated from Hazrat Salim (may Allah have mercy on him) that Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to cut the socks (below the ankles) of his mahram women, until Hazrat Safiyyah bint Abu Ubaid narrated to him a hadith from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) granted permission for women to wear socks. (So he stopped cutting the socks.)
