Jabir bin Muhammad narrates from his noble father that he said, We presented ourselves before Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both), and he narrated in detail the incident of the Farewell Pilgrimage. He said, Then the Noble Prophet delivered a sermon. Then Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) called the adhan, then he pronounced the iqamah, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led the Zuhr prayer. Then he pronounced the iqamah for Asr, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led the Asr prayer. He did not perform any (nafl) prayer between these two prayers. Then he mounted his she-camel Qaswa and proceeded to the place of standing (the place for supplicating).
