Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Whoever offers the funeral prayer for a deceased person will receive one qirat (reward), and whoever accompanies it until the burial will receive two qirats (reward). One qirat or the smaller qirat is equal to the mountain of Uhud.”The words of Ibn Maqri are:“Whoever remained with it until the burial was completed.”
