Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that there were two co-wives. One of them struck the other with a stone or a tent pole, causing the other’s unborn child to miscarry. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ruled that the blood money (diyah) for the unborn child is a“ghurrah”(a male or female slave), and he placed the payment of the diyah upon the woman’s ‘asaba (male relatives).
