Hadith Number: 10652
(وعنه من طريق ثان) قال انزل على النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم وهو ابن ثلاث واربعين فمكث بمكة عشرا وبالمدينة عشرا وقبض وهو ابن ثلاث وستين
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophethood of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) began or when the revelation of the Qur'an started upon him, he was forty years old. After that, he spent thirteen years in Makkah Mukarramah and ten years in Madinah Munawwarah, and he passed away at the age of sixty-three.
