Chapter on What Has Been Reported Regarding His ﷺ Death, His Suffering the Agonies of Death, His Being Given the Choice Between This World and the Hereafter, and His Choosing the Highest Companion, and That This Was the Last Thing He Spoke
Hadith Number: 11029
عن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت رايت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم وعنده قدح فيه ماء فيدخل يده في القدح ثم يمسح وجهه بالماء ثم يقول اللهم اعني على سكرات الموت
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), a bowl of water was placed near him, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would put his hand in the bowl, wet it, and wipe it over his blessed face, and kept supplicating: "Allahumma a'inni 'ala sakaratil mawt" (O Allah! Help me in the agonies of death.)
