Hadith Number: 11057
عن عائشة ام المؤمنين رضي الله عنها قالت ما علمنا بدفن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم حتى سمعنا صوت المساحي من جوف الليل ليلة الاربعاء قال محمد وقد حدثتني فاطمة بهذا الحديث
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that we did not know about the burial of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) until we heard the sounds of picks at night on Wednesday. The author of Maghazi, Muhammad bin Ishaq, has stated that this hadith was narrated to me by Fatimah bint Muhammad, the wife of Abdullah bin Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him).
