Chapter on What Has Been Reported Regarding His Burial, Grave, and the Change in Circumstances After His Death
Hadith Number: 11061
عن انس رضي الله عنه قال لما كان اليوم الذي دخل فيه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم المدينة اضاء من المدينة كل شيء فلما كان اليوم الذي مات فيه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم اظلم من المدينة كل شيء وما فرغنا من دفنه حتى انكرنا قلوبنا
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the day Allah’s Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in Madinah Munawwarah, everything in Madinah became illuminated. But the day he (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, darkness covered everything in Madinah Munawwarah. And we had not yet finished with his (peace and blessings be upon him) burial when we felt a change in our hearts.
