The first chapter regarding the virtue of Mecca
Hadith Number: 12595
عن عبد الرحمن بن سابط، عن عياش بن ابي ربيعة قال: سمعت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: ”لا تزال هذه الامة بخير ما عظموا هذه الحرمة حق تعظيمها، فإذا تركوها وضيعوها هلكوا.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna ‘Ayyash bin Abi Rabi‘ah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This Ummah will remain in goodness and safety as long as it honors the sanctity of Makkah, and when it abandons and neglects this sanctity, it will itself be destroyed.
تخریج الحدیث: «اسناده ضعيف، شريك بن عبد الله النخعي، ويزيد بن عطائ، ويزيد بن ابي زياد ضعفائ، ثم ان عبد الرحمن بن سابط لم يدرك عياش بن ابي ربيعة، اخرجه ابن ماجه: 3110، (انظر مسند أحمد ترقيم الرسالة: 19049 ترقیم بيت الأفكار الدولية: 19259»
