Chapter on the Command to Raise the Voice in the Adhan, Its Virtue, the Acceptance of Supplication Between Adhan and Iqamah, and the Fleeing of Shaytan Upon Hearing It
Hadith Number: 1262
عن جابر بن عبد الله رضي الله عنهما قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: ((إذا اذن المؤذن هرب الشيطان حتى يكون بالروحاء)) وهي من المدينة ثلاثون ميلا
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the muezzin calls the adhan, Satan runs away until he reaches the place of Ruha, and this place is at a distance of thirty miles from Madinah.
