باب فى الفصل بين الأذان والإقامة ومن أذن فهو يقيم
Chapter on the Interval Between Adhan and Iqamah and That Whoever Calls the Adhan Should Also Give the Iqamah
Hadith Number: 1306
عن جابر بن سمرة رضي الله عنه قال: كان مؤذن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم يؤذن ثم يمهل فلا يقيم حتى إذا راى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم قد خرج اقام الصلاة حين يراه
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had a muezzin who, after calling the adhan, would wait and not say the iqamah. When he saw that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had come out (from his house), he would then begin to say the iqamah.
