2 - Chapter on the Sitting Posture for Tashahhud, Pointing with the Index Finger, and Other Matters
Hadith Number: 1795
عن ابن عمر رضي الله عنه ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم راى رجلا ساقطا يده في الصلاة فقال: ((لا تجلس هٰكذا، إنما هٰذه جلسة الذين يعذبون))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a man who had let his hand hang down during prayer. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: Do not sit like this; this is the manner of sitting of those who are being punished.
تخریج الحدیث: «اسناده ضعيف لضعف ھشام بن سعد المدني، وقد روي موقوفا، وھو الصحيح۔ أخرج بنحوه ابوداود: 994 موقوفا، (انظر مسند أحمد ترقيم الرسالة: 5972 ترقیم بيت الأفكار الدولية: 5972»
حكم: اسناده ضعيف لضعف ھشام بن سعد المدني
