Chapters on Congregational Prayer
باب ما جاء فى التشديد على من تخلف عن الجماعة خصوصا العشاء والفجر
Chapter on the severity regarding those who miss the congregation, especially 'Isha and Fajr
Hadith Number: 2471
عن عبد الله (يعني ابن مسعود) رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: ((لقد هممت ان اامر رجلا فيصلي بالناس، ثم اامر بالناس لا يصلون معنا فتحرق عليهم بيوتهم))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Certainly, I have intended to order a man to lead the people in prayer, then to order (someone) to burn down the houses of those who do not pray with us, along with their inhabitants.
