باب إطالة الإمام الركعة الأولى وانتظار من أحسن به داخلا ليدرك الركعة
Chapter on the Imam lengthening the first rak'ah and waiting for someone entering to catch the rak'ah
Hadith Number: 2588
عن ابي سعيد الخدري رضي الله عنه قال: كانت صلاة الظهر تقام فينطلق احدنا إلى البقيع فيقضي حاجته ثم ياتي فيتوضا ثم يرجع إلى المسجد ورسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم في الركعة الاولى
Sayyiduna Abu Sa’id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Zuhr prayer would be established and one of us would go towards Baqi’, relieve himself, then (come home and) perform ablution, then when he would come towards the mosque, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would still be in the first rak’ah.
