باب فى وعيد من تعلم علما فكتمه أو لم يعمل به أو تعلم لغير الله
Chapter on the warning for one who learns knowledge and conceals it, or does not act upon it, or learns for other than Allah
Hadith Number: 276
عن ابي ذر رضي الله عنه ان النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم قال: ((إنكم في زمان علماؤه كثير، خطباؤه قليل، من ترك فيه عشير ما يعلم هوى، او قال: هلك، وسياتي على الناس زمان يقل علماؤه ويكثر خطباؤه، من تمسك فيه بعشير ما يعلم نجا))
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You are now in a time in which scholars are many and preachers are few. In such a time, whoever does not act even upon a tenth of his knowledge will be destroyed. But soon there will come a time upon the people in which scholars will be few and preachers will be many. In that time, whoever acts even upon a tenth of his knowledge will attain salvation."
