باب فى معرفة أهل الحديث بصحيحه وضعيفه وحمل ما ثبت منه على أكمل وجوهه
Chapter on the knowledge of the people of hadith regarding its authentic and weak reports, and interpreting what is established in the best way
Hadith Number: 291
عن علي رضي الله عنه قال: إذا حدثتم (وفي رواية: إذا حدثتكم) عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم حديثا فظنوا به الذي اهدى والذي هو احيا، والذي هو اتقى
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "When you narrate a hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)," and in another narration: "When I narrate to you any hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), then consider that statement as a hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) which is more guiding, better in manner, and more pious."
