باب ذكر الموت والاستعداد له وترغيب المؤمنين فيه
Chapter on remembering death, preparing for it, and encouraging the believers regarding it
Hadith Number: 2974
عن ابي سلمة عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: ((قال الله عز وجل: إذا احب العبد لقائي اجببت لقاءه وإذا كره العبد لقائي كرهت لقاءه))، قال: فقيل لابي هريرة: ما منا احد إلا وهو يكره الموت ويفظع به؟ قال ابو هريرة: إنه إذا كان ذلك كشف به
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, says: When My servant likes to meet Me, I also like to meet him, and when My servant dislikes to meet Me, I also dislike to meet him. Someone said to Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): Each one of us dislikes death and fears it? He said: When the time of death approaches, everything becomes clear.
