Hadith Number: 3046
عن عبد الله (يعني ابن مسعود) رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: ((ليس منا من شق الجيوب، ولطم الخدود، ودعا بدعوى الجاهلية))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever tears his collar, strikes his cheeks, and calls out with the call of ignorance, he is not from among us.
