Chapters on Funeral Prayer
باب ما جاء فى الصلاة على الصغير والسقط وعدمها
Chapter on what is reported regarding praying over the child and the stillborn and not doing so
Hadith Number: 3151
عن البراء بن عازب رضي الله عنه قال: صلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم على ابنه إبراهيم ومات وهو ابن ستة عشر شهرا، وقال: ((إنه له في الجنة من يتم رضاعه، وهو صديق))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Bara’ bin ‘Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) offered the funeral prayer for his son Ibrahim (may Allah be pleased with him), who passed away at the age of sixteen months. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also said regarding him that there are (women) in Paradise who will complete his nursing, (this is my son) a Siddiq (truthful one).
تخریج الحدیث: «قوله((إِنَّه لَهُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مَنْ يُتِمُّ رَضَاعَهُ))صحيح، وھذا اسناد ضعيف لضعف جابر بن يزيد الجعفي أخرجه البخاري: 1382، 3255 بلفظ: لما توفي ابراهيم g قال رسول اللهV: ((ان له مرضعا في الجنة۔))، (انظر مسند أحمد ترقيم الرسالة: 18497، 18502 ترقیم بيت الأفكار الدولية: 18691»
حكم: قوله((إِنَّه لَهُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مَنْ يُتِمُّ رَضَاعَهُ))صحيح
