Chapter on what is reported regarding praying over the absent
Hadith Number: 3161
عن جابر بن عبد الله رضي الله عنهما قال: قال النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: ((مات اليوم رجل صالح من الحبشة، هلم فصفوا))، فصففنا، قال: فصلى النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم ونحن
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Today, a righteous man from Abyssinia has passed away, so come and form rows." Thus, we formed rows and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and we offered the funeral prayer.
