It is narrated from Sayyiduna Wathilah bin Asqa’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) making this supplication at a funeral:“O Allah! So-and-so, son of so-and-so, is in Your protection and the rope of Your neighborhood, so protect him from the trial of the grave and the punishment of the Fire. You are the One worthy of loyalty and truth. O Allah! Forgive him and have mercy on him, for surely You are the Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.”(O Allah!
