باب ما جاء فى باب وصول ثواب القريب المهداة إلى الموتى
Chapter on what is reported regarding the reward of a relative's gift reaching the dead
Hadith Number: 3292
عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنه عن سعد بن عبادة رضي الله عنه انه اتى النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم فقال: إن امي ماتت وعليها نذر، افيجزي عنها ان اعتق عنها؟ قال: ((اعتق عن امك))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa’d bin ‘Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: My mother has passed away, and she had a vow upon her. If I free a slave on her behalf, will it suffice for her? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Free (a slave) on behalf of your mother.
