باب ما جاء فى هول القبر وفتنته والسؤال فيه وشدته
Chapter on what is reported regarding the terror of the grave, its trial, questioning, and its severity
Hadith Number: 3298
عن عبد الله بن عمرو (بن العاص رضي الله عنه) ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم ذكر فتان القبور، فقال عمر: اترد علينا عقولنا يا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم؟ فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: ((نعم كهيئتكم اليوم))، فقال عمر: بفيه الحجر
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned the examiners (angels) of the grave. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! Will our intellects be returned to us there? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes, just as they are today. So Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A stone in his mouth.
