فصل ثالث فى عذاب عصاة المؤمنين فى القبر وما يخففه عنهم وإنه أكثره بسبب التبول
Third section on the punishment of sinful believers in the grave, what lessens it for them, and that most of it is due to urine
Hadith Number: 3327
عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: مر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم على قبر فقال: ((اتوني بجريدتين))، فجعل إحداهما عند راسه والاخرى عند رجليه، فقيل: يا نبي الله! اينفعه ذلك؟ قال: ((لن يزال ان يخفف عنه بعض عذاب القبر ما كان فيهما ندو))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a grave and said: Bring me two sticks. He (peace and blessings be upon him) placed one at the head and the other at the foot (of the grave). Someone asked: O Messenger of Allah! Will this benefit the deceased? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There will be some reduction in the punishment of the grave as long as there is moisture in them.
