Chapter: Permissibility of Breaking the Fast and Fasting While Traveling
Hadith Number: 3831
(وعنه من طريق ثان): قال: لما بلغ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وصحبه وسلم عام الفتح مر الظهران اذننا بلقاء العدو، فامرنا بالفطر فافطرنا اجمعون
(Second chain) Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) says: In the year of the conquest of Makkah, when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) reached the place of Maraz-Zahran, he informed us about facing the enemy and ordered us to break the fast, so all of us left the fast.
