عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما ان عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه اكب على الركن، فقال: إني لاعلم انك حجر ولو لم ار حبيبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم قبلك واستلمك، ما استلمتك ولا قبلتك، {لقد كان لكم في رسول الله اسوة حسنة}
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, that Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, leaned over the Black Stone and said: I know well that you are a stone; if I had not seen my beloved Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, kissing you and touching you, I would not have touched you nor kissed you. The command of Allah Almighty is: {لَقَدْ کَانَ لَکُمْ فِی رَسُوْلِ اللّٰہِ أُسْوَۃٌ حَسَنَۃٌ} … Indeed, in the actions of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, there is a best example for you.
