After completing the Tawaf, he (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Maqam Ibrahim and offered two rak‘ahs of prayer behind it and recited this verse: {وَاتَّخِذُوْا مِنْ مَّقَامِ إِبْرَاھِیْمَ مُصَلًّی} (And take the station of Abraham as a place of prayer) (Surah Al-Baqarah: 125). And in these two rak‘ahs, he (peace and blessings be upon him) recited Surah Ikhlas and Surah Kafiroon. After the prayer, he (peace and blessings be upon him) again came to Hajar Aswad and performed its Istilam, and then he (peace and blessings be upon him) proceeded towards Safa, … .
