Chapter: Beginning with Safa in Tawaf Between Safa and Marwah, and the Ruling of Walking and Raml in It
Hadith Number: 4399
عن كثير بن جمهان قال: رايت ابن عمر يمشي في الوادي بين الصفا والمروة ولا يسعى، فقلت له، فقال: إن اسعى فقد رايت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم يسعى، وإن امش فقد رايت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم يمشي وانا شيخ كبير
Kathir bin Jumhan says: I saw Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) between Safa and Marwah walking at a normal pace and not running. When I asked him about this, he said: If I run, I have seen the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) running here, and if I walk at a normal pace, I have seen the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) walking at a normal pace here as well, while now I have become old.
