Chapter on Sharing in the Sacrificial Animal, and That a Camel or Cow Suffices for Seven
Hadith Number: 4623
عن سلمة بن كهيل عن حجية قال سال رجل عليا رضي الله عنه عن البقرة فقال عن سبعة فقال مكسورة القرن فقال لا يضرك قال العرجاء قال إذا بلغت المنسك فاذبح امرنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم ان نستثرف العين والاذن
Hujiyyah narrates that a man asked Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) about a cow. He said: On behalf of seven people. He asked: If its horn is broken? He said: This thing will not harm you. He asked: If the animal is lame? He said: When it reaches the place of sacrifice, then slaughter it. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us to carefully observe the eyes and ears.
