Chapter on the Prohibition of Eating Udhiyah Meat Beyond Three Days and the Abrogation of That
Hadith Number: 4701
عن نافع عن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم لا ياكل احدكم من اضحيته فوق ثلاثة ايام وكان عبد الله إذا غابت الشمس من اليوم الثالث لا ياكل من لحم هديه
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: None of you should eat from his sacrificial meat for more than three days. Imam Nafi’ says: When the sun would set on the third day, Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, would not eat from his sacrificial meat.
