Chapter on the Call to Prayer in the Ears of the Newborn at Birth and Chewing Date for Him Thereafter
Hadith Number: 4742
عن ابي موسى الاشعري رضي الله عنه قال ولد لي غلام فاتيت به النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم فسماه إبراهيم وحنكه بتمرة
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: A child was born to me, when I brought him to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) named him Ibrahim and gave him a date to chew.
