Chapter on Those Whom the Prophet (peace be upon him) Named and Whose Names He Changed for a Benefit
Hadith Number: 4764
عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال كان اسم زينب برة فسماها النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم زينب
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the name of Sayyidah Zainab was Barrah; the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, named her Zainab.
