Chapter on What Has Been Reported Regarding Kunyah (Patronymic) and Nicknames, and Those Whom the Prophet (peace be upon him) Gave Kunyah
Hadith Number: 4773
عن انس بن مالك رضي الله عنه قال كناني رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم وانا غلام ببقلة كنت اجتنيها
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, he says: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, gave me a kunyah with the name of a certain vegetable which I used to pick, while I was still a boy.
