Sincerity of Intention in Jihad and What Has Been Reported Regarding Taking Wages for It
Hadith Number: 4843
عن عبادة بن الصامت رضي الله عنه ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم قال من غزا في سبيل الله وهو لا ينوي في غزاته إلا عقالا فله ما نوى
It is narrated from Sayyiduna ‘Ubada bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever fought in the way of Allah, while his intention was only to obtain a rope, then he will receive only that which he intended.
