باب من أعتق عبدا أو شرط عليه خدمته وحكم من ملك ذا رحم محرم أو أعتق مالم يملك
Chapter on Whoever Frees a Slave or Conditions His Service, and the Ruling of One Who Owns a Forbidden Relative or Frees What He Does Not Own
Hadith Number: 5262
عن سمرة بن جندب رضي الله عنه رفعه قال من ملك ذا رحم فهو حر
Narrated by Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever becomes the owner of a mahram relative, that person will become free.

عنه بالسند الاول عن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم قال من ملك ذا رحم محرم فهو عتيق
With the first chain of narration, it is also narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever becomes the owner of a close blood relative, then such a slave will become free.
