باب فى الاستنجاء بالماء والنهي عن مس الذكر باليمين والاستنجاء بها
Chapter on Cleaning with Water and the Prohibition of Touching the Private Part or Cleaning with the Right Hand
Hadith Number: 540
عن الاوزاعي قال: حدثني شداد ابو عمار عن عائشة رضي الله عنها، ان نسوة من اهل البصرة دخلن عليها فامرتهن ان يستنجين بالماء وقالت: مرن ازواجكن بذلك، فإن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم كان يفعله، وهو شفاء من الباسور، تقوله عائشة او ابو عمار
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that some women from Basra came to her. Sayyida instructed them to perform istinja (cleaning after relieving oneself) with water themselves and to instruct their husbands to do the same, because the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform istinja in this manner, and this is also a cure for hemorrhoids. Whether this last sentence was said by Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) herself or by Abu Ammar (may Allah have mercy on him) is uncertain.
