Chapter on What Is Said During Distress, Grief, and Anxiety, and What One Says When Overcome by a Matter
Hadith Number: 5575
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali bin Abu Talib (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) taught me to recite this supplication in times of anxiety and hardship: LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAHUL HALEEMUL KAREEM, SUBHAANALLAHI WATABAARAKALLAHU RABBUL AR IL AZEEM, WALHAMDU LILLAAHI RABBIL AALAMEEN (There is no true deity except Allah, the Forbearing, the Generous; Allah is Pure, Allah is Blessed, the Lord of the Mighty Throne, and all praise is for Allah, the Lord of the worlds). In one narration, instead of AL-HALEEM, the word AL-HAKEEM is used.
