Chapter: What has been reported regarding the virtue of sending blessings upon the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the multiplied reward for doing so
Hadith Number: 5714
وفي حديث عبد الرحمن بن عوف رضي الله عنه ان النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم قال له إن جبريل عليه السلام قال لي الا ابشرك إن الله عز وجل يقول لك من صلى عليك صليت عليه ومن سلم عليك سلمت عليه زاد في رواية فسجدت لله عز وجل شكرا
In the hadith of Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him), it is mentioned that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: Indeed, Jibreel (peace be upon him) said to me: Shall I not give you glad tidings that Allah, the Exalted, has said to you: Whoever sends blessings upon you, I will send mercy upon him, and whoever prays for peace for you, I will send peace upon him. In another narration, it is mentioned: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I prostrated to Allah, the Exalted, in gratitude.
