باب من باع دارا أو عقارا فلم يجعل ثمنها فى مثلها
Chapter: One who sells a house or property and does not invest its price in something similar
Hadith Number: 5796
ان يعلى بن سهيل مر بعمران بن حصين رضي الله عنه فقال له يا يعلى الم انبا انك بعت دارك بمائة الف قال بلى قد بعتها بمائة الف قال فإني سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم يقول من باع عقرة مال سلط الله عز وجل عليها تالفا يتلفها
When Sayyiduna Ya'la bin Suhail (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: O Ya'la! I have been informed that you have sold your house for one hundred thousand. He replied: Yes, I have indeed sold it for one hundred thousand. Sayyiduna Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say that whoever sells his estate, Allah Almighty imposes a calamity upon him which destroys his wealth.
