Chapter: What is permissible to hire for among permissible benefits
Hadith Number: 6150
عن سويد بن قيس رضي الله عنه قال جلبت انا ومخرمة العبدي ثيابا من هجر قال فاتانا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم فساومنا في سراويل وعندنا وزانون يزنون بالاجرة فقال للوزان زن وارجح
Sayyiduna Suwaid bin Qais says: I and Makhramah ‘Abdi brought cloth from the region of Hajar. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came to us and bargained with us for trousers, while there were also people present with us who weighed goods for a wage. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to one of the weighers: Weigh it, and tilt this side of the scale.
