باب ما جاء فى رجم الزاني المحصن وجلد البكر وتغريبه عاما
Chapter: What Has Been Reported Regarding Stoning the Married Adulterer, Flogging the Unmarried, and Exiling Him for a Year
Hadith Number: 6688
عن الشعبي رضي الله عنه قال اتي علي بزان محصن فجلده يوم الخميس مائة جلدة ثم رجمه يوم الجمعة فقيل له جمعت عليه حدين فقال جلدته بكتاب الله ورجمته بسنة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم
Imam Shabi says that a married adulterer was brought to Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). He flogged him with one hundred lashes on Thursday, and then on Friday he stoned him to death. Someone said to him: "You have combined two punishments upon him?" He replied: "I flogged him in the light of the Book of Allah, and I stoned him in the light of the Sunnah of the Messenger."
