باب ما جاء فى قتل الشارب فى الرابعة وبيان نسخه
Chapter: What Has Been Reported Regarding Killing the Drinker on the Fourth Time and Clarifying Its Abrogation
Hadith Number: 6787
عن عبد الله بن عمرو بن العاص قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: ((من شرب الخمر فاجلدوه، فإن عاد فاجلدوه، فإن عاد فاجلدوه، فإن عاد فاقتلوه))، قال وكيع في حديثه: قال عبد الله: ائتوني برجل قد شرب الخمر في الرابعة فلكم علي ان اقتله
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever drinks alcohol, flog him. If he drinks again, then flog him again. If he drinks a third time, then flog him again. And if he drinks a fourth time, then kill him. Waki’ in his narration said that Abdullah said: Bring to me the man who has drunk alcohol a fourth time, it will be my responsibility to kill him.
