Chapter: Encouragement for It and Dislike of Abandoning It for the Capable
Hadith Number: 6828
عن عثمان بن عفان رضي الله عنه قال: خرج رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم على فتية من المهاجرين فقال: ((من كان منكم ذا طول فليتزوج فإنه اغض للطرف واحصن للفرج، ومن لا، فإن الصوم له وجاء)).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to the young emigrants and said: Whoever among you has the ability, let him marry, for it is most effective in lowering the gaze and safeguarding the private parts. And whoever does not have the ability, let him fast, for indeed fasting breaks the desire.
